annual family photos

Every year on Mother’s Day weekend, Noah takes photos of me and the kids. This has more to do with me getting in front of the camera for once than anything to do with the specific day we take it on, we just use that weekend as a milestone. So that at least once a year the kids will have photo evidence that I was there while they were growing up.

I prefer being behind the camera rather than in front of it, but I know it’s important to do the latter once in a while.

My father-in-law was heading to visit his parents that week and asked that we get a family photo taken so he could take a fresh one with him. We usually try get a family pic around Thanksgiving, for, you know, Christmas cards and such, but an extra one can’t hurt. I’m pretty sure we took about a hundred million of them, but this one is my favourite.

It’s goofy and imperfect, but I like it that way.
